CONGRATULATIONS TO AWARD WINNING ARTISTS

Andrew and Michael & Inessa Garmash

Please join Collectors Editions in congratulating artists Andrew Atroshenko, Michael Garmash and Inessa Garmash for their participation in the American Artists Professional League 78th Grand National Exhibition 2006.

Andrew Atroshenko was awarded the prestigious Frank C. Wright Jr. Medal of Honor for his stunning portrait painting of a Native American woman titled “Almika” .

Michael and Inessa Garmash received the celebrated Helen G. Oehler Memorial Award for their exquisite portrait painting of a child entitled “Hugs for Minnie”. The exhibition took place Tuesday, October 31 through Friday, November 10, 2006 at the Salmagundi Club in New York City.

The American Artists Professional League (AAPL) was founded to advance the cause of the fine arts in America, through the promotion of high standards of beauty, integrity and craftsmanship in painting, sculpture and the graphic arts. The AAPL was established in 1928 by F. Ballard Williams and by prominent and leading academicians of their day to address the need and interests in traditional Realism.

In its ongoing effort to promote and encourage artists specializing in realistic art forms, the AAPL has staged a Grand National Exhibition for over 70 years. Each year, hundreds of applicants in all media submit their work for review by a selection committee consisting of professional artists in the fields of oil, water media, pastel and graphics and sculpture.
